Our Story

Welcome to DIGITAL ECMO, where expertise meets innovation in ECMO education.

 

With six years of experience in CVICU and ECMO, I've also developed a passion for technology along the way. Using advanced software, I have learned how to create engaging educational videos that simplify complex medical scenarios, that benefited all of our hospital staff tremendously.

Teaming up with Brian, our ECMO coordinator, who brings 11 years of invaluable experience to the table, we've leveraged my expertise in technology & CVICU/ECMO and his experience in ECMO to deliver top-tier educational videos to our hospital staff. Together, we ensure that our videos not only simplify complex medical scenarios but also reflect the highest standards of quality and accuracy.

 

Now, we're dedicated to expanding our impact. By sharing these resources with ECMO programs worldwide, we aim to revolutionize simulation training and improve preparedness for acute situations.

Meet The Team

CVICU & ECMO Nursing:

  • 6 years of experience in CVICU and ECMO settings.

  • Proficient in handling critical care situations.

  • Served as a charge nurse, demonstrating leadership and organizational skills.

  • Acted as a preceptor, guiding and mentoring new staff members to the most critical population in CVICU.

  • Conducted teaching sessions on CVICU and ECMO procedures and protocols.

Videography & Software Skills:

  • 3 years of experience in videography and software.

  • Skilled in capturing and editing videos for various purposes.

  • Proficient in using software tools for video editing and post-production.

  • Familiarity with programming languages and software development methodologies.

 

ECMO Coordinator:

  • 11 years of experience in ECMO settings.

  • Implemented first OHCA ECPR program in Tarrant County (Fort Worth). BASMC became the first
    adult ECMO program in Tarrant County designated by ELSO as a Gold Center of Excellence

  • Proficient in ALL ECMO Systems

  • Robust experience with ECPR, post Heart Transplant, Post Open Heart, central VA ECMO, biventricular VAD

  • Implemented wet-lab training, first assist training, and assisting with rapid ECMO circuit/component changes

  • Proficient in ECMO troubleshooting implementation and instruction. Singular component and
    whole circuit change outs

  • Didactic and clinical training for ECMO
    specialists

  • Facilitated Neonate, Pediatric, and Adult ECMO Transports
